If we had the money, Bowen would be the signing we need for that right side👍

Bowen would be a brilliant addition to the Villa team, tenacious, great technique and a wonderful finisher.

I found myself thinking that during the game.  Imagine if we'd somehow managed to find a way to buy him in the summer instead of Guessand...
If I remember rightly, we were in for him at Norwich and went with the guy from Brentford who lasted a season.

He was at Hull prior to West Ham, he scored his first goal for them against us. Think we were rumoured to be interested when we were buying all the best players in the Championship a bit before West Ham came in for him.
Yep, I think that sounds right. We were definitely said to be in for him at the time.

Sometimes the players look like they are beaten?
Often times we the fans believe we are beaten?
BUT
In Unai's world we are never ever beaten!

West Ham fans are saying that was the best home performance of the season, even though they have actually won other games

Says it all. Konsa handed them their first goal and was piss poor for their second. The only time I saw decent play from them was when Pacqueta (I think) slipped Bowen through for the offside goal and he finished superbly.

I thought they were incredibly poor. Tactically too they were a mess. Lindelof's full PL debut for us and they never really pressed him all that hard to force him more onto his left foot. Nuno prefers that low block but they aren't defensively strong enough for it. AWB was destroyed by Rogers, both centre backs were rubbish and nothing on the bench.

They have the worst centre halves in the league for me and they paid about £80m or so for that privilege.

That Kilman dude from Wolves cost them huge money too and he was only on the bench.

BTW, how shit is that stadium? Quite a few empty seats too. I hope they go down with Leeds.

I think they'll drop this season. Their defence is a shambles but worse than that there is no heart in their team. Once we went ahead they hardly had a shot. Leeds are poor but made us earn it to the last minute. Callum Wilson is the kind of signing we were making before eventually getting relegated.

Steady, there are those who would have Wilson ahead of Watkins. I like Ollie and I don't think it's an outlandish suggestion. Wilson is a good finisher.

Callum Wilson is an injury prone 33 year old, it’s a bonkers suggestion.

I'm not advocating it but he's better than you credit him. I know he's Cov like "Madders" and we have to hate him cos of annoying colleagues from that terrible place etc. but as Smirker might put it, Wilson has scored 4 league goals so far this season. One goal every 153 minutes. Watkins has 3. One goal every 400 minutes.

Better record across his career too. I'd take the former's finishing with Ollie's everything else.

Wilson would be ok as a sub but he's spent years rarely being fit enough to start.
