Pretty much bang in line with what most people wanted on the pre-match thread I reckon. Leaving Emi1 out altogether feels little risky though.

Comfortable with the defence and the two main midfielders. The forward line need to be on it though.

Right line-up for me, players rested with strength on the bench if need be. The pre-match rumours about Martinez having a 7.30pm reservation at The Fig & Olive in Tamworth were true.

Torres injured or rested?

Probably just rested, he was feeling his calf at the end of the game on Sunday.

Basel’s form at home has been good, approach with caution imo.

Didn't know they had Shaqiri.

One down, several more to go

Various "are they still even playing football?" types who could trigger "oh, I remember him" thoughts include Xherdan Shaqiri, Marko Arnautovic, Mateij Vydra, Olivier Giroud, Marcos Alonso, João Moutinho, Pontus Jansson, Dejan Lovren and Isco.
