Fantastic comeback Villa, great to see Ollie scoring again, well done Onana and The Don. Bring on the Arsenal no problem.

Proper gunfight-at-the-ok-corral game.

Chaotic performance on the surface, but we had much more in our locker.

Well done Ollie, mate. God that must have felt good.

Guessand actually deciding to play second half.

Bizot doing a Greek tragedy in reverse.

Such a shame Brentford couldn't muster an equaliser.

I thought Guessand did well in the second half. Instrumental in the winning goal.

To be fair he was a lot better in second half. Close to scoring first and fourth goals. But when he gets the ball with his back to goal near the sideline, he really struggles. That's a problem with Cash far from comfortable on the ball at times too.
Cash was excellent.Again.

Cash is our Player of the Season so far.

May have been Fulham and City games - 90+4 not giving anyone an inch.

So pleased for him - always been a good player, looks like a brilliant one now.

Good result. Brighton unbeaten at home before tonight.

Wish we could win these games on the road without gifting the opponents the lead though.

Six straight wins now?

Unbeaten since we beat them in April. They are a good team. We are currently at least better

Hard one to give ratings, we mixed the sublime with the ridiculous. Rogers sums it up

Bizot 6 - nowhere for first but did well at end. Decent distribution. Should be playing him more in EL to keep him sharp.
Cash 7 - solid again defensively and set pieces caused huge problems including for Onana's goal
Konsa 7 - solid display again, unlucky not to score
Torres 6 - started playing after the own goal, very ropey start
Maatsen 7 - similar to Torres maybe, excellent assist and unlucky not to get a penalty. Took ball into contact too often
Kamara 6 - mixed enough display. We got the run around in midfield in the first half
Onana 6 - pretty much hid in the first half but a huge weapon for set pieces in the second
Guessand 6 - much improved after half time, nearly there for a few goals. Getting in right positions anyway
Rogers 7 - seemed to be trying to break a record for losing the ball in the first half. Then launches an inch perfect assist from deep in our half. Simple pass to put Malen through and overhits it. A freak.
McGinn 7 - struggled to get into the game early on, not his best position for me but much more in it after half time
Watkins 9 - a night of redemption. Destroyed them. After a poor miss early on too.

Digne and Bogarde were very good off the bench I thought. Malen scored with his first touch. Tielemans was ok. Buendia only on late.

Emery 9 - an outstanding night. Faith in the squad vindicated and particularly in his main man Ollie Watkins.

We can go up a gear or two when we have to. Brilliant win.

Onwards and upwards.

Was saving the stat so I didn't tempt fate.

This would be just the third time that Aston Villa have come from 2-0 down away from home to win in the Premier League, and the first time since April 2005 vs Southampton.

Also Spurs in 2000 - was there for that one

It feels like teams come from 0-2 down quite regularly, especially if you're from Manchester and are playing a Birmingham team. I was trying to think the last time we come from 0-2 down, I was at Southampton in 05, surely not???

Morgan Rogers is world class, he worked his absolute bollocks off tonight on top of his sublime skill, like 3 players in rolled into one.

Southampton was the last time we did it away. It was Everton last season at home in the League. And PSG in the Champs league.

Get the away fans clumped together at home. The gulf in sound at home compared to away is enormous considering about 10% are making that noise away.
