Emery is going to kick some ass at HT.

Needs to chill out. Losing his head on sideline. Be calm and make the required changes.

Just had a quick look on the Brighton forum for the LOLs. Jesus they really hate Villa, didn’t think they had that level of vitriol in them.

They treat matches against us like we treat matches against Palace.

And we always lose to Palace which is probably another bad mark for our club in their eyes.

Torres looked like he had an injury just as that goal went in.

The e one we thought over the line. Did it just hit the post?

Think so, but there may have been a handball, but no review. Bonkers end to the half all round.

Post I think, then clear handball.
Dodged a bullet there then. Would probably still be 2-1 if we had been given a penalty.

There's absolutely no chance Guessand returns for the second half. I do see them bringing on Welbeck to be an annoying fucker like he usually is against us.

Yes the players were claiming handball.

Sky would have you believe Broghton dominated that half, no ... Villa had more shots, possession in their penalty area and a higher Xg. They could pay me less for more perceptive commentary !

Well we didn't deserve that, but I'll take it. Ollie is our MotFH by a country mile. Some absolute crap on display against a less than impressive Brighton. The ref is poor too.

If we bother to show up in the second half this should be a comfortable victory.

Watkins tonight:

Four attempts
Three on target
Two goals

Hadn't scored since 28 September, but two in 15 minutes a scruffy one and a lovely well worked one.

Hat trick time?

Hilarious that VAR were looking at 50 angles for a blatant handball when Ollie scored, and Sky missed the goal. Amateurs...

Great coverage Sky

They'll be distraught.

Serves Sky right. They are always showing meaning less replays while missing the action on the pitch. Brighton is one of those fan bases around where I live that exploded in numbers once they got promoted. I get a lot of evil looks which always pleases me cos it usually means we've beaten them - but they always think we've done it using the dark arts. Poor little Brighton and those beastly bullisles from Birmingham.
