Had a look on MM and their pre-match thread is very like ours each week in 15/16.

See I feel like whilst we often win at home against them it’s always a slog.

This lot are like a dog turd you step in and just can't get off the bottom of your shoe.  They linger like a bad smell.

I have missed 3 home games in over 40 years.

I am buggered if I have ANY recollection of Rob Edwards playing for us.
I’ve googled images of him, the Rover/MG kit was worn, but I still have no memory of him.

I have a vague memory of him going on a mazy run up the right flank and hitting the woodwork and possibly assisting for Marcus Allback for a goal against Chelsea?

It'll be weird when he becomes our manager. Thought Little and Greggers were a dying breed of pros turned gaffer at the same club.

I remember that game well. Allback scored twice, Mellberg and Johnsen at centre half, I was drinking vodka and coke from a McDonalds cup. Don't remember Edwards playing. Do remember his existence though, so trumping andyh.

Remember this game well, was over for the game, my first since moving to Canada in 2000. My cousins mate was a steward so got to go in early and look around the ground, he gave us vests and we watched the game pitch side in the corner of the holte and trinity. We put a tenner on Allback first scorer and 2-1 win, Villa are 2-0 up with Allback scoring both then I think it was Terry scored in injury time, well we couldn’t contain our delight that we were about to win £400 nicker so half sort of celebrated the Chelsea goal only to realize we’re standing in front of the Holte, not very smart!
Anyway we cashed in and hit the town and got bladdered. Left my Valentino jacket in some club and woke up in some birds bed in Northfield.
My cousin made it home safe.

I don’t remember Edward’s playing for us or much of the night though.

Three points today is huge considering the league table, puts us 6 points ahead of the mid-table dross currently on 18 points - Spurs, Man Ure, Newcastle, Liverpool and Everton.

We need to ensure we don’t put in a Europa League style performance. Wolves are obviously not good, but we can’t be complacent in this.

Sammy Crooks or Pop Robson or Chippy Brsdy or Sidney Cowans

Seemed to struggle with first names

Memory was mostly right. Edwards hit the bar against Chelsea in that 2-1 win with the Allback brace. Lovely chip over the stranded Cudicini at the 2 minute-mark on the highlights here. Also started the move that led to Allback's opening goal.

Who knows, maybe Rob met his missus in a Brum nite club after nicking some bloke's Valentino jacket later that day....

The original camera position in WL was too high after it was rebuilt and looked really awkward.

Eventually they found a way of lowering it by putting the Cameras at back of stand rather than the overhead gantry,
