Unai is obviously doing the absolute minimum required to get through these games.

The big question is will Elliott actually get any game time?

Without wanting to sound like a misery guts, I get really nervous when I see wholesale resting of players for so called easy games. This has bit us in the arse so many times before over the years.

Whilst I agree that on paper that team should still be strong enough it is still making me nervous. I firmly hope that the team proves me thoroughly misguided in my nervousness though.

That's a lot of changes. Hope we don't come unstuck like Man City did.

Interesting to see Elliott and Garcia in the squad though.

Happy enough with that line up - need to be careful down right hand side mind. Right sure about Lindelof

Digne and McGinn had heavy international schedule and Emi B too not in the habit of those extra air miles.

Malen deserves a start.

Now that we finally have a decent back up keeper, I just  don't understand why you wouldn't give him a start in a game like this.

We're getting scorchios tonight lads.

We're going to score so many scorchios, we may even get tired of scorchioing.

6-0 Villa.

Bizot has a five game clause in his contract meaning we would have to pay another £10m until the clause expires on 31st February.

We only know the surname. I'm assuming it's a 15 year old backup goalie from the youth team called Barry Elliott.

Or wannabe ballet dancer, Billy Elliott.

It is indeed Billy. Like Bertie, not the greatest physical presence, but renowned for his fancy footwork.

Of all the games to drop Watkins to the bench, give the fella a break Unai. Maybe he's saving him for Wolves but tonight should be a great chance for him to score a goal.
I would have thought Watkins playing and scoring tonight would be ideal but…..

Has Bogarde played centre-half for us before? Anyway, I mostly like it. Decent first team and plenty of options on the bench if required.

Think he filled in a couple of times last season in that period when we needed to use Kamara there too.

Yeah, he definitely filled in at CB.

Looked like he was lining up at RB in the crossing warm-up exercise they do.

I appreciate there’s still ten minutes until kick off but it looks like there’s about 15,000 fans here.
