Without wanting be all "trust whatever the manager does", I think I'm pretty comfortable with whatever he does tonight.

If he thinks it needs the same eleven as started against Leeds, then fine. If he thinks we can get away with half of them on the bench and start some of the others, then also fine.

I'd like minor rotation of 3-4 players and then a mix of senior players and kids on the bench so we can adapt to the game. Winning is priority, minutes in legs for squad players is 2nd.

At least I'd like Bogarde and Sancho to start.

As much as I would like to see us play our strongest team and get the job done by half time, the reality is that some of these players need a rest. Playing tonight, Sunday, Wednesday and then again with the early kick off against Arsenal on the following Saturday, we are going to need our best players in peak condition.

Especially those areas of the pitch where we have accumulated, I would think, most individual minutes and have the least immediate depth - the back 4, excluding left back.

Torres was on media duty yesterday - I've noticed that players on media duties with Unai tend not to start - or at least, it seems that way.

Yep, get the job done by half time and then rotate at half time. Tielemans doesn’t need a rest, Cash might so Garcia can slot in there.

I don't think García plays for us anymore.

I, genuinely, can't remember what he looks like.

Emery confirmed Garcia is available but would be a surprise if he put him straight in from the start, probably more likely to see Lindelof play there (shudder).

Just parked up what an odd time for a mid week game. Hopefully get the job done nice and early, but being Villa it never works that way. It would be great to see Ollie score again or maybe a top game from one of the fringe players.
