Imagine how good it would've felt to hear them say, 'Aston Villa have picked up after a terrible start and are ticking along nicely." God, that would've been amazing.
Have I missed something?

You're complaining that you decided to dive into a fleapit and didn't like the kind of fleas that were dining on you as you emerged. Consuming the drivel that Sky, TalkSport etc spew out in the name of content and then moaning that it's not very good seems a bit counter-productive. If they'd spent half an hour talking about Villa, it still would have been drivel.

Alright  lighten up. I only commented as it was relevant to Dave's write up. I know what to expect and I rarely watch sky unless we're on. As far as I'm concerned Sky and Talksport can all go fuck themselves.

I like Leeds, that play off defeat at home to Derby was the single funniest game of football I've ever seen.

Not sure about that. I'll raise you Preson vs Blose, playoff semi.

Germany 7-1 Brazil takes some beating. It still makes me laugh when I watch the highlights every few months.

I still get annoyed that Germany missed a sitter when it was 7-0 and then Brazil went up the other end and scored straight away. 7-1 was funny, 8-0 would have been funnier.

Certainly the best non-Villa game I've attended.

Neuer was pretty annoyed as well.

Which in itself is usually mildly amusing.

Leeds have spent more years in the Championship than the top league. Let's help them on their way to getting 'back to where we belong'.

And just to highlight Dave's point about Leeds getting a totally undeserved amount of media favouritism I just watched Sky Sunday Supplement to see how the journos see today's game going.
Low and behold they held a ten minute discussion about all things Leeds.
The only mention of Aston Villa was as "today's opponents" are Aston Villa. They then moved on to discuss Man Yanited (obviously). No surprises there then. I don't know why I expected anything different.

The Graun's Premier League: 10 things to look out for this weekend yesterday was exactly the same. The Leeds v Villa preview focused solely on Farke and Leeds.

That's pretty common for the Graun sport coverage. I'm generally with SE when it comes to media paranoia but their reporting of Villa is indifference at best, condescension at worst.

David Luiz re-invented the position of Rush Goalie without being in goal. He was so good at it he repeated it in the 3rd Place Play Off
