Obviously those are just examples but it seems like it's going to be another difficult window.

The following seem like sensible moves to me and would improve the quality of the squad.  We'd need to be careful on their wages as "on a free" is an oxymoron, but given Sancho's wages there should be headroom.

Garcia replaced by Mingueza on a free
Sancho replaced by Wilson on a free

Why would you have Pau on the out list? He'd be the last of our centre backs I'd move on right now, in fact the only defender I'd be more reluctant to let go across the entire back 4 is Maatsen and that's purely on age.

Martinez I don't agree with either but I can accept why people think it might be a good idea and I of course see the sense in moving on players like Sancho and Bailey who aren't really contributing but changes like the list JJ suggests make us a significantly weaker team than we are now and don't really address the underlying problem of the aging squad either.

I'd agree that we shouldn't be trying to sell him (and more importantly, I imagine Emery's only untouchables would be Kamara, Tielemans, Rogers and him so he's obviously not going anywhere), but if you could get £40m for him and bring in Senesi on a free it feels like the sort of squad management that we still need to do a bit of, to sort out our remaining financial stuff.

Not that we will though.

Sell Pau….. Absolutely not. Crucial to how we play. Last 2 games the difference in our ability to build from the back and keep possession under pressure and then beat the opposition press to create attacking phases was clear for all to see.

I would add the captain to the list of untouchables, I think this season has only further underlined that.

Not for me, Senesi is decent but he's not the same type of player as Pau and would have too big an impact on us and given he's practically the same age as Pau we wouldn't even be a better long-term fit. yes the money would be nice but I just don't think it's worth the disruption it would cause when the real 'need' at centre back is younger options to replace Mings and Lindelof who will be 33 and 32 respectively by the start of next season. Add in Digne also turning 33 in the summer and wehave plenty of work to do with the defensive side of the squad without creating more problems for ourselves.

If we were to sell Rogers for £100m + then i would go after Ndiaye as he is an exciting ball player.
Sell Konsa to P.Lop for £70m and replace him with Ballard from Sunderland
I would replace Bailey with Minteh from Brighton or Chuchwueze from Fulham
Bring back Barranchea to replace Luiz.
Robinson from Fulham to replace Digne.
New back up keeper (younger)

Long shot (due to wages) but Darwin Nunez to replace Watkins

Keep the nucleus of

Martinez
Cash
McGinn
Tielemans
Tammy
Onana
Maatsen
Torres
Kamara

and sprinkle in a few kids

We should offer Spurs £3 million and Samuel Iling-Junior for Archie Gray when they go down.  Not because we particularly want him, it would just be hilarious after the shit they tried to pull with Grealish when we were on our knees.

I think he's been just about the only bright spot in their season.  If they do go down, he'll sign for someone decent, and do well.  He's only just turned 20, too.

I still think he's completely 'meh', especially given his transfer would be our second highest ever.

He reminds me of Steve Sedgley.

If we qualify for CL, does that give us financial headroom to make proper signings to improve our X1? Not just former players, players out of contract, loans and PSR pawns.

I think we would have moved the likes of Mings and Digne on last summer if we weren't under financial constraints. We have six with only 12 months left on their deals this summer (Barkley, Buendia, Bailey, Mings, Lindelof, Bizot) so decision time for those.

Luiz returning is about as low risk as it gets. Saw it yesterday with Tielemans playing further forward with him and we don't lose anything.
