Who would pay that for Watkins? That ship sailed last season, would be lucky to get £25m. 30/31 in the summer?

I think it'd be about 25m. Someone would take a chance.

It might work out for everyone too if it's psychological.

Nobody is paying £25m either.

I think we need replacements for Ollie (assuming his decline is not fitness related) and perma-crock Garcia. I’d probably let Sancho go and wait and see what happens with Guessand and Malen.

Tielemans, Kamara, Luiz, Onana, McGinn seems a good pool of midfielders, Barkley and Bogarde probably expendable at this stage.

The fat geezer from Juve looks pretty good, as does Harry Wilson, if we’re looking for a couple of free transfers.

£20-25 mill I could see someone bite.

Perhaps West Ham if they stay up.

Palarse if they find a buyer for Mateta. Everton, Leeds or Brighton poss as well.

West Ham are skint and have to sell. Palace, Leeds and Brighton buy bargains with potential. We'll be lucky to get £10m.

If we are shopping in the bargain bucket again then Wilson looks pick of the bunch.

Out:
Watkins
Sancho
Bailey
Buendia
Guessand
Malen. Already 99% done anyway but would've love him back. We would have almost certainly picked up more points through this sticky patch with him here.
Onana if Madrid come in for him as he expects with a blockbuster offer.

In:
Luiz. May as well, relatively cheap.
Wilson
Fuck knows who else. Impossible to say really, until we know if we're 5th or 6th.

That's a hell of an 'Out' list though. Will be tough to replace all that lot with relative pennies so might have to hang on to some of them and hope they miraculously improve.

He turned 30, eight weeks ago. Don't wish his life away.

I like the West Ham left-back, Diouf? Could be an option if they go down and Digne goes.

Looks good to me. He gets up and down and is good on the ball. Any good defensively? Not seen enough.

Quick and strong, so that’s a good start.

Watkins won't be an easy sell bar some kind of uplift in form. Martinez will leave too. I think we need to move on Digne, Mings and Barkley too. 12 months to go on their deals I think so stick or twist time.

I don't see the point in selling Mings. He won't raise any money and he can still be useful.
