My brain is telling me this shitty run they are on cannot continue so they, with all the press and media being positive and the officials looking favourably at ever decision,  up will revert back to early season form.

My heart says ftf and get into them early.

They are having lots of attacks but not taking chances.
They are a couple of goals away from getting their season back on track.
If they score first we will get battered. Team desperate for a win and Aston Villa come to town.
I’ve seen this movie before and I don’t like the ending.

I was really hoping they’d win in the cup as their streak has to end.
I’d take a point now !!

This thread reminds me of the pre match thread before the last match of last season. People trying to apply logic about form and concluding to the positive at a venue we always fail at.

Its not the hope that kills you, it's knowing that its the hope that kills you, that kills you.

An interesting question is whether to play Digne or Maatsen, given how little Salah defends. Digne is the man in form and is more defensively sound anyway, but Maatsen's runs inside offer a different dimension, maybe could help us win more second balls in midfield.

I'd go with Digne, to be clear, but it's interesting.

He'll start Digne, and Maatsen will come on in the 70th Minute.

They had a Liverpool fan on BBC news on Thursday, and she was asked how long they'd give Slot if the bad run continues against Villa.

Any worse then Slot, who spent over £400mil stating the team he put out was down to him not having any squad depth?

I think we’ll win.

They’re a mess at the back, we’re fuckin’ ace.

1-2 Villa.

We'll give them an early goal start & the boost they desperately need. I would be shocked if it went any other way than a straightforward Liverpool win.

If we go there & win, it would be completely out of character.
