My takeaways from last night were that the defence was not the problem - which may seem odd to read, but we got mugged by two clever balls into a smart runner (the first was from a freekick  that shouldn't have been given and was then deflected away from the keeper; the second was eminently stoppable). The key issue last night - as many others have said - was the lack of intensity and the final ball / finishing; Guessand lacking finesse and intelligence did not help.

And should have been called offside as two players blocked off ours whilst in offside positions, thus making them actively offside,  leaving the runner in a lot more space to control the ball.

Plucked up the courage to watch it again. The  biggest problem was poor finishing. Our defending for both goals was totally inept. Referee's decisions aside the first goal was something you'd see in a non league game. A bog standard ball into a player who literally only had to move 10ft to get to the ball unchallenged. He took a punt that would never of beaten Emi without without a ridiculous deflection off Torres but it's on the Spaniard. He turned his back and dangled a leg when he could of been brave and stood up to it. His lack of mettle is really starting to grate with me. The second is on Maatsen. A hopeful punt goalwards should be easy to deal with but Maatsen switched off and that's an understatement. His reaction was soooo slow and literally gifted them a goal. I pictured Homer Simpson daydreaming about a chimp plying  drums (One for the Simpsons fans on here) But all of that should be irrelevant if they had put away one of the numerous good chances we had. Yes you Ollie. I'm done with that debacle now. I've had my two penneth.  Onto City now. I'm expecting a  massive improvement.
