I think we are in danger of being labelled bottle job fc. Favourites to win Conference league. Bottled it in the Semi against Olympiacos 6 fkn 2 on aggregate. Palace Semi final. No show. Man U where a point would secure CL football. Again no show. Every time we get a penalty we seem to bottle it. Two times tonight Pau needed to be brave when a cross came his way. Again bottled it. I'm very disappointed and tired after a long day. I might re-read this tomorrow and feel a bit silly about this post but right now I'm fucking pissed off with quite a few of our players.

I'm never one to critcise Emery he's our best manager in a generation but he's not infallible. That back four tonight was weak, unbalanced and slow. He could of gone with 3 at the back with a central defender looking to deal with the long ball over the top. We used to call those sweepers lol. Setting us up with a flat back four invited the long ball over the top which was our undoing in the end. Well that and our woeful finishing.

I was suprised to see sancho come off and Guessand stay on , I think sancho has scored 9 out of 10 pens too in his career so if he was on , could have been the pen taker.  Buendia could hardly see out his eyes and looked like he was going to miss it .

There was one great cross by sancho and Watkins didnt even go in for it , I looked at my son and said where is Withe when you need him.

Suprised with all the changes he still played Martinez instead of the bizot , like someone said thou , play your best and then get them off when you have won it , more chance of winning this cup then geting top 4 for me anyway .

Win Sunday and this will be forgotten.

I would interpret it that he went out of his way to try the pairing out, otherwise he’d have played Konsa - who must be a tremendous athlete and is rarely rotated. Let’s hope Emery learned something from it!
