The Times fella got his copy filed just as quickly and was much more accurate. Behind a paywall so I won’t link y.

to be fair we should be going to spurs and beating them its only the old inferiority complex that thinks a point at the lane would be good. They have been shit for seasons. no madders, romero pulled out during the warm up and their new manager bounce is now on the wane. Still enjoyed the game and was delighted with the goals and the 3 points.
Emi made a big impact from the bench

Unlucky because spurs would’ve got 2nd today with a win.

I never knew that. Sad face.

Wait! That would've been a London top two for good measure. You'd think some would've mentioned it.

Really strange game for me. Thought we both massively rode our luck (if they'd had Kane or even Son...) and thoroughly deserved it.

Pau superb and Cash shoving the boos where they belong. Digne took a battering, so delighted he was able to do that before going off.  I'm probably still a bit giddy, but that might be the best Villa goal I've been there for. I've been a very erratic attendee but still.

Quite apart from anything, isn't Vicario Italian?

My favourite bit is the claim that their football is exciting and energetic, when in truth it's wimbledon/stoke-esque long balls to run on to and an over-reliance on set pieces. The myth of the spurs 'way' is clearly still going strong.

Great goals, both of them.

Thought Pau, Konsa and Cash were excellent today, as was Kamara.

Rogers, aside from the goal not the best still.  I thought Digne had an unusually poor game as well.

Yes, they seem a bit limited on that showing. Maybe it was a bad game for them.

Well they are famous for their spelling mistakes.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned that.

That’s a belting result, a really big one to come from behind. Terrific, well done.

On the statistics (which I know isn't everything) today seems to be pretty 'on-brand' for how they've been playing all season. I'd never watch them in a game we're not playing in though so maybe I'm missing something.

The goal was three moments of absolute premium quality interwoven into the finest of silk.

When Digne laid the ball off to Buendia, I said to myself "please score", not because I wanted the lead, but because the preceding play DESERVED a goal.

Agreed. He looked more up for it and muscular in his running with the ball. Excellent cameo

A great goal,by Morgan Rogers,  kept us in the game.
Second half we were much better especially when Emi and Ollie came on for Donyell and Guessand.
(Think I’d rather have Bailey than Guessand as he seems the weak link).
The Cash, Digne , Emi goal was superb, a joy to watch, and Matt has had a very good season so far.

Looks like Unai is now working his magic with his team again.
