Some very good performances in that game. Torres man of the match, Bizot commanding, Konsa excellent, Maatsen very good. Ollie played very well first half. Buendia another who really stood out. SJM and Kamara doing what SJM and Kamara do.

I thought Guessand was very decent second half after his very quiet first half.

Great run by Malen for the second.

Yeah agree with this, Bizot looking very capable, Konsa!, he looks so masterful and Torres pairing makes us look very solid at the back, Buendia, another performance, took him of right at the perfect time so he stays at the top of is game for Burnley, Guessand, I would have taken him off but that's why I'm not earning millions as a manager, I think Guessand is being shaped by Unai in the same way Rogers was, it will come and when it does that 30 million will seem like peanuts.

Top result.

Just watching the goals again. Kamaras involvement for the first goal shouldn't be understated. He stole the ball off their player with aplomb after a poor touch by Rogers then calmly played it to Buendia in the heat of battle on the edge of the box. Brilliant contribution.

That’s our best performance of the season.

Agreed.

Keeper 8/10
Defence 8/10
Midfield 8/10
Attack: 5/10

MOTM: Maatsen. His best performance for us since signing.

Bigot fantastic
Torres imperious and quality on the ball
Mcginn a true captains performance
Kamara a Rolls Royce
Konsa even better than a Rolls Royce
Both Cash and Maatsen very decent.
Little Emi fantastic goal
Bogarde looks a gem

Win Sunday and talk of our demise well and truly premature.

Just wait till we get some of the injured back and Rogers back into some form

Chuffed and relieved. Bogarde looking like Kamara’s apprentice at times, needs to develop his swagger. Good subs as it turned out - wasn’t convinced at the time! I think we’d have lost with Olsen, Bizot is a great signing. McGinn - legend. All our long serving players were reliable, hope the newer ones reach the standards they have set over the last few years.

Stat of the day.

Since they returned to major European competition in 2023-24, only Real Madrid (19), Paris St-Germain (18) and Bayern Munich (17) have won more games in those competitions than Aston Villa (16): six in the Conference League, eight in the Champions League and two in the Europa League.

Spinksian change of keeper too. Bizot apparently faced 8 shots and saved all of them Brilliant.

I thought Maatsen was decent enough, surprised you saw him as MOTM though. But fair enough.

Bizot looks a bit like Olsen.

But plays nothing like him, thankfully.

It's no harm if a genuine ego like Emi has a bit of genuine fear about holding on to the shirt for a change.

Let's see how he responds.

I really love the shirt they wore tonight. I wonder if it's available to buy? Would be nice to have a shirt without a bookie's name plastered over it.

Shout out to Malen.

He’s been finding it difficult, but his turn and drive is the reason we finished comfortably.
