Aston Villa v Fulham
Sun Sep 28th 2pm

I wonder who Phillipe Senderos and Steve Sidwell will be cheering for...or if Adama Traore will get wistful for his time here as he lathers on the baby oil to his stressed muscles, before the game.

In my head this is usually a fixture we do well in.  Hopefully we start well and get an efficient nerve-free 2-0 win

Unbeatable Villa, as we should now be called, or maybe "Freescoring Unbeatable Villa" are dead certs to win this game now, I'd say, such is our ability to score loads of goals (3 goals in 3 games!) and our 2 match unbeaten run.  3 matches if you include Brentford, which we only lost on penalties ... and only complete LOSERS score penalties anyway.

We're favourite with the bookies, and they're never wrong. Villa win, 2-1.

I mentioned on the Brum News thread but for those coming from further away the M6 is closed at Junction 4 and 4a for the weekend. Official diversions are below but I suspect Spaghetti will be packed with people deciding to make their own runs along Chester Road in either direction, especially if the queues back start getting around there.

Quote
Where are the diversion routes?
HS2 said drivers travelling northbound on the M6 would exit at junction 4, join the M42 southbound and leave at the junction 6 roundabout, on to the M42 northbound.

They would later use the junction 7 slip road to rejoin the M6 northbound.

Meanwhile, those travelling southbound on the M6 will be diverted at junction 4A on to the M42 northbound and carry on up to junction 9.

There, they will come off at the roundabout and rejoin the M42 southbound to eventually access the M6 southbound.

As for drivers wanting to join the M6 southbound from the M42 at junction 7A, they will continue northbound up to junction 9, before rejoining the M42 southbound and getting on the M6 at its junction 3A.

The painful and slow return to something like the team we've watched for the last few years continued last night and I think it will on Sunday.

We looked good in some areas last night, the defence and central midfield should remain untouched but it's elsewhere that will be the focus again.

I would take Rogers out of the firing line and bring him on at some point just to take the pressure off and give us all an opportunity to show that we're still behind him as he takes the field. Start Elliot, Sancho and Watkins, retain Guessand.

2-1

Desmond.

Hang on, you've predicted 0-2 in every game since 2014. What the hell... ?

We'll grind out a win, it won't be pretty but it will be another shot in the arm confidence wise. Elliott will play.

Hello from this Fulham fan, our season so far has been ok, draw at Brighton with last minute goal after not playing too good, two appalling VAR decisions against Chelsea and Man Utd, beating Leeds with a 93rd minute OG, beating Brentford quite comfortably, plus two league cup wins, funnily enough our leading goal scorer so far is 3 OGs, you seem to struggling a bit this season, it would be be typically Fulhamish if Ollie Watkins turns into a Mbappe/Kane forward and scores a hatrick!! That’s why going for a1-0 Fulham win Mings OG!! Only joking I’m pretty sure will eventually turn it around, hopefully not starting Sunday
