Pau would have been just as gormless as Mings in not stepping up to catch the goalscorer offside.

I disagree. Pau’s positioning for our season of high line was excellent. Mings tends to lose concentration more than most.

Not saying Pau doesn’t have his faults but he HAS to play in this team.

Pau, Tielemens and Kamara IMO are crucial for this team. My worry is that we're lacking any real pace in this team now.

Our annual wage bill is £250m+.

There are a lot of people on a lot of money.

It was £252m in 23/24 in that 13-month year. So £230m-ish pro-rata.

That’s the latest confirmed figure we have. I don’t think it’s £250m+ now, but we won’t know for sure until January 2027 when Deloitte’s money league for this season is published.
