Fuck I’m glum tonight.

We could have lost 6-0 tonight and I’d still be happy.

My youngest scored three goals in training tonight, in only his second session back since he got run over by a Land Rover Defender two weeks before the schools broke up for summer.

I’m aware that this won’t help everyone feel better, but it worked for me.

Cheers mate, I will.

It’s fine for everyone else to be miserable of course. I’m not trying to derail that at all.  Just sharing my personal joy as it’s been a bit too traumatic to post about up to now.

This has been our worst start of sesson sonce we retirned to premier league. Our seasons counting on europa now. This start has been a complete and utter  disaster. One fucking goal in what seven games?

The footballs dreadful, we are creating  virtually  nothing and whats even more depressing is our fixtures have not even been hard.

This is veey worrying and our owners need to start getting more involved as monchi is totally fucking this club. The guys wasted millions and should be sacked as he has done a terrible job.

That performance against a brentford B side was again poor. Losing twice to brentford.brenford!. Im so pissed off this morning

I thought we were the better team, they only threatened from corners and long throws.

Think if Sancho scores then we go through.

Also we looked comfortable until their RB smashed it in.

Fuck I’m glum tonight. Contrast our disastrous start to the season, getting booted from the CC by Brentford to the CL kicking off tonight. That was us last year. All the glitz and glamour that we earned to now having to accept where we are.

This is how I felt too, seeing Arse and Spuds win.  I think that is how the whole club are feeling, but like me, they better snap out of it pronto.

I actually thought we should have won and were a lot better, and were looking pretty good towards the end.  The pens, their keeper was always going to be the "hero" after that blunder, but I had no faith that Bizot looked like he was going to get anywhere near any of them, and he didn't.  Although he had a decent game.

But if they use PSR or whatever as an excuse again, they can fuck right off.  The money we have spent has been spent poorly - Malen and Guessand are poor signings (yes I know it's early days, but surely you can tell from things like 1st touch), surely better value could be had from that.  Our own kid that came on showed more in ten minutes.

We then see a lad we have allowed out on loan, with an apparent option to buy of 15m Euros scoring in the Champions league, when most observers saw uge potential and someone worth trying.

Spending significant wages to rehabilitate Sancho? Really?

But, for me, there were enough green shoots there to have some optimism.

I only caught the second half and felt we were actually much improved - we were better in possession, passing was generally tighter, but then again Rogers only came on at the end... (half kidding). He looked a bit more like his old self too, one good run, a decentish shot, etc. That sense of being totally disinterested felt less to me too, which is probably my main reason for feeling better about it. We weren't great but it was a step forwards from a performance perspective.

I thought we had three decent shouts for a penalty too. Cash was clipped when sort of falling but that put the full stop on him. And McGinn later on too.

I'm still confident in Emery but just wonder about the players. Is everyone still all-in on this team/club? Or are we just anticipating a long season so starting in a more measured (terrible) way?

I thought it was our worst display so far this season,
Yes the stats are a little better but the opposition was piss poor, a team stripped of all their best players stripped of their management team, and playing a second string of nobodies
we huffed and puffed and apart from a couple of speculative shots and one decent save from their goalie during the whole match we were absolutely rubbish, I mean as dire as it gets as a performance

You’re living in Candyland if you think we’re getting anywhere from last night’s performance,
We’ve got a bloke on 300 grand a week but he’s got a nice touch at times at times,
He did fuck all.
Guesand had a good chance of being their best player of the match as he passed and lost possession to their players often than they did

Malen was the invisible man,
Konsa and Pao did OK, but then again they were up against a bunch of trainees, rejects and has beens
When the big guns came on in second half they just proved to be big useless twats
and I got nearer the ball sitting in my front room than the goalie did with the penalties

I see nothing from last night but big big problems. As I’ve said before something‘s going on behind the scenes it’s got to be because nothing else makes sense

I thought we were the better side overall but it does need to be a lot better. I think if Sancho puts his chance away, the game is won.
