Not sure how we didn’t get at least one pen

Ref waiting for VAR to inform him.

So we should've had 2 penalties according to the pundits. The keeper tripped Guessand and Cash got tripped! Why didn't VAR send the ref to the monitor??

A Malen goal would help - looks like he needs a bit of boost.  Had a some very good contributions last season - but think he needs a few balls in behind

two pens then If VAR - typical

The one of Guessand was clear for me, got a toe to the ball and then the keeper took him down, if he was running towards goal instead of away I reckon that gets given 9 times in 10. The Cash one was 50-50 because he was already stumbling so I can see why the ref wouldn't give it.

VAR should have informed him that he’s a blind ******

Keith Andrews looking like a south London estate agent on a late winter break in Marbella, the ******.

He is a deeply unlikeable git isn't he.

Lovely fella apparently. My uncle gave him a lift back to Dublin a few years ago, he even invited my uncle in for tea and sandwiches with his folks.

We needed that goal. Who scouted Guessand? Overall, disjointed, pedestrian and poor unfortunately.

Apparently they didnt count as the ref had already blow for a percieved foul by rogers on the keeper

Do they even have VAR in these rounds? I wouldn’t imagine Grimsby have the technology

Guessand’s touch really poor but at least he like runs around tries, something to work with. Malen’s touch has been poor and he looks a bit lost or disinterested, not sure which one. Depends how much Emery wants to save Watkins legs, but probably be tempted to make the change fairly early in the second half.
I think the fact Sancho is wide is giving Brentford something to think about, bit on a couple of occasions he’s waited for Mastsen to overlap when he could of drove into the box, probably under instruction I guess. As he hasn’t had a pre season he’ll be blowing out of his arse by 60 mins, so might come off before Giessand.

Hang on, is there no VAR?

Not until later in the competition (the final in this case), same as the FA cup. It used to be that they used it if they were at a ground where it was available but they've removed that inconsistency now.
