It was better than the first few games and we got a point.  That's where the positives stop.

Not so long ago we were a team tat created loads of chances and one that could beat ANYBODY when in the mood.  But now...

We've become a very, very boring team to watch.  Ponderous, slow, toothless, lethargic, devoid of danger going forward.  This dramatic demise is completely consistent with Morgan Rogers and his form (for Villa) falling off a cliff.  It's like we're playing with 10 men at the moment.  his first touch is a tackle and he passed to an Everton player more times than to a Villa player.  He is atrocious at the moment.

I don't know what to say really.  The manager is a coaching genius.  We have the same players, by and large.  Maybe a few of them aren't quite the same because they wanted to leave (O Wtkins, I'm looking at you) or are peaked last season (Mr McGinn perhaps).

Fuck knows, but since that no show at Old Trafford, we have looked like last rites Gerrard and it has to change or we'll be 15th at best this season.

Shite.

The most frustrating thing about today is Everton are still a really poor team and we missed out on three easy points.

xG this season, opponent xG in brackets

Newcastle 0.13 (1.47)
Brentford 1.23 (1.27)
Palace 1.13 (2.67)
Everton 0.54 (2.17)

2 points is good going then!

Yes because one of them is a real stat and the other doesn’t exist

Something isn’t right.
I reckon McGinn, Rodges, Watkins and Tielemans aren’t onboard at the moment.
Lose those group and the attacking flair is gone.

Haven’t seen today yet but in the three previous matches I have watched we’ve had no balance whatsoever. You can’t play football without balance and it’s bound to affect individual performances. Bailey took a lot of flak but he always gave us shape and occupied the defence. When they came in Rashford and Asensio gave us a balanced look.

I’m amazed Unai can’t see it as he has generally seemed so wise. I think everyone knows the quality of Monchi’s signings hasn’t been great (apart from the loans)

Instead of conceding two every game we now have kept two clean sheets and he’s going to have to work out the risk of bringing Torres back in.

You saw it with Man City after the last title. A team that has been together for ages needs refreshing. We’re stuck playing the same old team as Gerrard.

We went into today's game with Kamara and Onana missing then lost Youri for the second half which left us Bogarde and SJM. It wasn't great, we didn't score or even look like scoring but we got a point and kept a clean sheet. Sometimes you have to when you're having a bad run.

We will improve, Everton will be struggling again. Remember the high line days, we were good then, we seem now to be playing not to lose. no adventure no exitement. Rogers is abysmal.

With all due respect i think yoir ignoring the issues we are having. The performances jave been really poor. These players missing are defensive players they wouldnt have added much in terms of creativity.  Thats the biggest issue.

We have sold all our  creative options.  As soon as we started selling oue best  reatovw outlets like diaby and luiz the problems slowly started. Bailey went to shit, we relied on two loans who helped but now left and we are worse than the start of last season. If we have to rely on sancho  for creativity  we are masive trouble this year.

Recruitment this summer was a complete shambles and we have seen it now in first five games.

It's you who's been ignoring the issues we've been having, especially in the transfer window. Let's see how we pan out now we've got new players in shall we?

What issues are those? yes we have had FFP issues but no goals in 5 games, playing utter turd in all of them. What am i missing? Look at glasmer at Palace  lost some key players but doing wrll with what he has

Add the fact we are creating virtually  nothing against poor sides isnt that reason to be concerned clampy.?

If you don't know the issues we've been having, then I don't know what to say, except 'cringe'.

To be fair, although I agree with you in that the transfer window was particularly difficult for us, and I think things like Ramsey's departure - and more importantly, the manner of it - have cast a long shadow, because we look like a bunch of players who don't really want to be here anymore, you also have to say, it's hard to whip up much sympathy for the PSR side of the transfer window, given the immense amount of money we've spunked on not-so-brilliant players who we then don't actually use much anyway. There's a big self-inflicted element in there.

How many of today's starting side were signed by Monchi, for example?
