When we are starting Buendía and Bogarde, it says a lot, but when they were actually better than most of the rest, that also says a lot.

We kept them out, but at least they were pushing and trying to win and Grealish gives them a sense that something will happen, whereas currently we have nobody doing that.

if they had something resembling a centre forward Everton would have won easily.
ie if Watkins had been playing for them

I don't think it's as bad as some are saying and this flat spot may be a necessary reset.

Or it's not going to improve at all and we face starting again which doesn't bear thinking about.

I'll go for the former and progress on Tuesday and a win on Sunday...

Rogers is an enigma. A MOTM display for England yet toothless again today. I wonder if he's pissed off at not getting that big move during the summer. Mings hinted that there were things happening behind the scenes and players body language doesn't indicate a happy dressing room. Who knows.

xG this season, opponent xG in brackets

Newcastle 0.13 (1.47)
Brentford 1.23 (1.27)
Palace 1.13 (2.67)
Everton 0.54 (2.17)

2 points is good going then!

Yep, if anything, we're over-performing!

I wish  we could go back to the team with diabs and luiz. We have gone backwards since then.

If we can't score against these four clubs god knows what happens when we play the likes of liverpool and arsenal.

Its actually  five league games we haven't scored as we fired blanks vs manure. 5 games 0 goals. Abysmal

My brother phoned me at 14.59 to make sure I was awake for the game and at the moment he's the biggest c*nt in the world to me.

I finished work at 6 this morning and I’ve stayed up all day to watch shit football.

We had 10 points from the equivalent 4 games last season.

From the way we have played in the 4 games this season, if we had no points so far, I don't think it would have been an unfair reflection.

9 of the starting 11 today were here before Emery.
Probably as worrying as the last 4 performances tbh.

In some ways I credit him with this as at least he’s humble enough to realise the signings made under his regime haven’t been good enough rather than playing his signings regardless.

Jaysus, thats commitment. I finished at 6, set my alarm for 2.55. Wish I'd just stayed in bed.

Two years ago I did not even know Rogers existed. You would like to think there would be some gratitude there from him for what Villa and Emery did for him

Rogers was ok for England against a team that gave him more time and space than he gets in the PL.
He has been awful this season for us and crap again today.
His passing was abysmal.

He’s lost interest.  So have the players.

Goals are vastly over-rated.

How many players these days, especially now actually stay after training is over, much around with the ball, try a few new things and work on weak parts of their game? I reckon it would be none.
