I know we all love Unai, but I wonder if we need a fresh perspective. Iraola gets a tune out of these players.

Yes, that’s knee jerk and probably premature. But…

Or Glasner. Considering what he’s done with Palace he’d win 2 FA Cups in the same season with us.

My brother phoned me at 14.59 to make sure I was awake for the game and at the moment he's the biggest c*nt in the world to me.

How many saves have the opposition keepers made against us...1, maybe 2?

This is the result Clampy said he'd be happy with. Maybe he's right.

One thought - we badly miss an in-form Torres. So much of our play in the last couple of good years has come from Pau getting the ball in the centre circle and making some space or beating a man or playing a sharp ball right on the toes of the attacker in the right spot to make it count. He's been bullied out of the defence (so to speak) by very obvious tactics we've failed to help him against, and without him we've got so little to offer when the opposition is set and we've got the ball at the back.

The in-form Torres was a very long time ago. Can't pass wind these days. Let's say he finds his passing boots, Rogers and Watkins with their mahogany shins aren't making it stick anyway. Maybe there's something in that out ball option to a Diaby or Bailey on the right wing isn't there any more for him.

I think Maatsen, for better or worse, needs a long run in the team now. We absolutely have to get more width and legs into the team.

Dominated in posession by famous juego de posiciòn aficionados David Moyes' Everton.

Were we? Dominated in attacking intent definitely but still shied possesion, which seems to be the only winning stat we have these days.

9 of the starting 11 today were here before Emery.

I miss JJ and Leon. If they weren't injured and pushed-out we could have had a full-house XI !

10 shots on target across four league games and four of those were in a match we lost 3-0.

3 v Newcastle, 2 against Brentford, 4 against Palace, 1 today.

If you mean actual saves rather then back-pass level stops, then you are probably correct.

Uni has a lot of credit in the tank for the last few seasons, but he will burn through that very quickly if he can't turn this around very quickly. Spurs and Man Ure last year proved reputations count for nothing and a season like they had last year could put us back years.

Would have been 10 with Kamara, but Rogers would be getting game even if he ran up to Emery and punched him in the stomach during warm-up.

Technically Bogarde was here before Emery as well.

Is it just a blip or have the players stopped reacting to him and going through the motions? Our international players played a lot better for their countries than they have for Villa this season.
Needs sorting quick.

Yep, it’s so clear that what we’re doing isn’t working. It’s a coaching thing first and foremost.
