It's pretty much what I'd have gone for.

Me too, it's conservative don't get me wrong but we have been a mess defensively so far. Solid shape about us, Bogarde does give us legs in midfield anyway and Buendia is rewarded for a decent cameo v Palace. Digne was always going to start against his old team. Think McGinn can and should cause Garner, out of position at left back, a lot of problems. Will help keep Grealish in check too on that side.

Lots of options on the bench to change things with Maatsen, Elliot and Sancho. Our bench is far stronger than theirs. Can shift Rogers in off left or McGinn inside if we need to. First half unlikely to be one for the purists! That Everton team, Grealish aside, looks championship level on paper but need to match them physically to start with.

Dirty 0-1 win or 1-2 will do!

What an absolutely negative line up!

Perhaps the new players aren't up to the 'walking' football that has been introduced!

It is all very well having a strong bench but when you are already losing (as we will be) it is just so difficult to change the game!

Going to be painful to watch but lets hope for the best!

I’m hoping the mental side of the club is more settled following the transfer window shutting. While we got some good players in by the end it was a disaster in how it unsettled so many players in our squad. Let’s hope there is a calm now and everyone just does their job. Not sure about the line up but if we stick to the task there is enough in that group to get a much needed result.

I don't get the reluctance to throw players in when lots of other clubs do.  Hope for the best but fearing another dull performance.

You can guarantee if we had signed Grealish on loan he wouldn't have started a game yet.

Rogers played well for England because he had pace around him giving him space, Playing McGinn on the right just doesn't work.

Emery is the best Manager we've had in ages and he gets a pass so far for hes done for us but I do wonder why we start so negative in games.

What a negative starting line up!

I dont know what I was expecting but I didnt expect to see none of the attacking players starting. Guessand or Malen would have made much more sense than emi B or mcginn. Even if it was only one of the two as SJM does have his plus sides in a game like today.

3 former Villans for them. I’d bet at least one of them scores.

I wouldn't mind betting that Grealish gets Cash sent off today.

Look at the Everton team and it is pretty poor , why we have gone so negative.
If we can’t beat a team with 4 good players then we have a big problem.

If we can't create and score at least one today against Keane and Tarkowski then we need shooting...but we'll miss.

Can anyone assist with where a person might take a gander at the game please?

If anyone could furnish me as well I would be grateful.

Thats such a lame starting line up. So disappointed in that line up considering how bad we have looked in last few games with neither elliot or sancho  starting

Yes, it's very woolly.
