It can get crowded in the middle aisle and checkout queues. He'd have toddlers barging into him with a strimmer and ski goggles, think he'd struggle.

“Coward as a man” is probably a bit of a stretch.

Did you not see some of his challenges or lack of them in some of the games? Wolves at home and Leeds away when we were hanging on were quite memorable for all the wrong reasons. Very half hearted at best.

I commented to my mate at the games that they could of hung his kit up at the end of the game as his shorts certainly never had a grass stain on them. There was 60 / 40 even 70/30 challenges in his favour that he never even attempted to put a foot in.

A coward as a man in game - i obviously do not know what he is like as a person on the street and dont care - only comment on his footballing time with us and it was pretty poor.

Factor in the money he has made from the game as a whole he has stolen a living - he will probably take the easy option next as well

He chickened out of the most basic of challenges in numerous games and plenty on here called it out every time. As a footballer, he was a shit house and although I wish him the best going forward, I don't want him anywhere near the Villa 2026/27 squad

There are a few reasons to have a dig at Sancho, but this isn't one of them. He's a winger. I want centre halves to get stuck in. The winger can spend 90% of the game sat on the grass making daisy chains for all I care, as long as he does the business. Heard this used as a stick to beat Sancho with a lot and I'm not having it.

Really? If you're wussing out of challenges, even when 60/40 in your favour, expect to be called out for it regardless of position.

Unai has a reputation for regenerating talents that have lost their way……..just saying

£ per G/A must be pretty shocking. It's a thank you no from me.

I will always thank him for allowing me to give it back to a Sangwell Town fan who messaged with multiple laughing faces when we signed him. I sent it back when he scored against Fenerbache, and again on the 21st of May along with a picture of Sancho hoisting the trophy.

Anyway, he was cowardly in a football sense for the reasons given elsewhere but there's a player there and with a bit more application he could blossom again. Emery could do it but realistically we should be looking at better.

If Unai was going to fix him he'd have done it in the 9 months Sancho was with us.

Emery could probably improve him, but that’s £50k/week player, not what Sancho will be demanding.

Yep, I started playing footy on the right wing, went to right back when the pace faded, and finished my last year's playing footy as CB. Each position I got stuck in, obviously a bit more meaty back in defence but I still did my defensive job and made plenty of blocks at RW.

I don’t think it’s a great look, but he’s also a player who’s now out of contract. Who knows what influences approach. In any case the point is not questioning whether he should have been more committed to challenges, that’s a perfectly reasonable debate. It’s pushing to say he’s a coward as a man that is overdoing it in my view.

Plenty of wingers are less than committed when it comes to the physical stuff. Usually why they're stationed out on the wing in the first place.

Stewart Downing wasn't on loan and he was nowhere to be seen when the muck and bullets fell. Only thing is he did weigh in a fair bit with goals and assists. Something Sancho rarely did in C&B.
