I’ve got a feeling that Unai won’t forgive that performance.

I’ve stuck up for him quite a lot this season but that was the worst of the bad cameos he’s thrown in this season. Fuck me Jadon, Emi and Tammi got you out of a hole there.

The first goal wasn’t all on him. Our passing at the back was shocking for the time before he even got the ball.

Yes and the first goal for them, albeit a cracking finish, was from sloppy passing at the back.

He was shit. On the pitch for nearly 20 mins, nearly cost us the win, 1 successful pass, 0 tackles.

The semi final v Forest might be more like your typical blood and thunder PL games.

The sort he's not suited to, in other words.

But he might be fine (should we make it that far) in the final v Freiburg or whoever.

And against sides a notch below in quality in the top flight, such as the Lilliwhites or Burnleh, who we face in the run in.

He'll score or assist a crucial goal in the next 3 weeks and folk will be back wanting him to stay. Fickle as fuck, m'Lord. You gotta weigh it all up, not just thinking of him being a Sunderland fan today.

Yep. Overall, despite what I said about the first goal, about as shit a cameo appearance as you’d imagine.

Jadon Sancho looked emotional at full-time as he headed straight down the tunnel after the referee’s whistle. He was consoled by Damian Vidagany. Unai Emery insisted that his mistakes were not the main cause of either of Sunderland’s late goals.

Unai Emery on Jadon Sancho: "It is not his mistake. The mistake is how we did this action. If we did more passes, we could have avoided it. I am never punishing. After the ball we lost, the players didn’t respond well to protect the goals."

He's tried to compensate for the first and instead compounded it. He wasn't trying to be shit so I have sympathy, but we'll be investing those wages elsewhere as if nothing else our options will be wider with Champions League football and if there's a God it will be Rashford earning them.

Unai Emery insists Sunderland's late quick-fire double against #AVFC was not Jadon Sancho's fault.

"We are going to analyse and find solutions for mistakes. I am always taking responsibility for the mistakes, not the players."
