Thought he did well tonight, and helped us weather the storm when he came on.

There
was
a half-hearted challenge in the middle of the park just after he came on, but aside from that he was busy.

I’m sure he gave the ball away about a dozen times. I just can’t see what Unai sees in him. But that applies to almost all footballing matters, to be fair.

He did once in a poor area. Any other times would have been turn overs in their box or right on the edge of the area with a block or last ditch tackle.

Don’t get me wrong, I want him to do well. Maybe he should wear a Dortmund shirt under the claret and blue. He looks like a completely different player for them.

He did once, other than that he was good. He helped us get back control of the game.

What he is good at is technical control of the ball and retaining possession. There was one shirked tackle but generally he massively helped us rest control of the game back from Spuds.

Yep, did well. Unai’s been showing him his old Dortmund videos to help build his confidence. Not writing him off yet.

A bit of both today.
Held the ball up and passed to teammates as expected.
Gave the ball away 3 times in dangerous positions, including deep in our half when they were on top.
Not £150k’s worth today.
