Isn't Sterling on a load?

Yeah, there are a couple of others on higher salaries as well, from the early days of their current ownership (Fofana is another). They've since realised that they end up stuck with players (like Sterling) so go much more on the length of contract / incentives rather than big base salaries.

Hence not wanting to end up with Sancho.

On the subject of Sterling, he surely couldn't be any worse than Sancho was last night?

Would be a huge upgrade if we could somehow persuade Man U to take him back and end up with Sterling.

I read that Sterling isn't interested in a loan and only wants a permanent move. Well, fuck that.

He may have been saying that to not hurt West Ham's feelings.

Yeah I wouldn't be touching a permanent move. Only the Saudis would risk that.

One of his worst games for us so far last night.  He is better when on the left with Maatsen.

Unless a massive sea change occurs, we won't be seeing him here next season.

Sterling has the smallest football brain ever, he would be infuriating.
No thanks.

With his small arms too he really could be a baby dinosaur.

This is the problem.
People seem to have ridiculously low expectations of what is ‘good’ or ‘decent’.

A decent 30 mins here, a decent 10 minutes there ?
He a professional footballer for fucks sake who has been in the game for years, not some youngster starting out.

He is supposedly a wide/flair player.
So I don’t expect to see him flying into crunching tackles, but taking defenders on, running at defences, having guile and skill to create chances for his team mates or himself, that’s what we would expect to to see.
He does none of it.
He ponces through his time on the pitch, taking no responsibility and producing very little quality.

When Rashford came in last January, he was a broken man. It was widely accepted he was finished in the game.
Within a few short weeks, massively down to Unai, but also because of his own character, he was contributing hugely to the team and was a driving force for the second half of the season.

Compare to Sancho who has had 4 or 5 months at the club and has contributed fuck all.

He is a wastrel who has managed to steal a living. I’ll give him credit for that.
Some players are just better than other players (almost a Smiths song). Rashford is a far more accomplished player. We can rant and rave about Sancho and how much he earns all we want, but if he’s not good enough for a top three side, there is not a lot that can be done, unless Unais magic dust starts working, but that would have to pretty soon.

Given yet another opportunity and floats around like an empty crisp packet.
I have seen enough.

I think that is a pefect comparison!
