No recollection of that, though I remember getting knocked out of the League Cup by them.

If I know Villa, we probably went on to win the FA Cup that year.

Hope Shaun Teale got himself a new shirt after that.

Why he was sent off, I'll never know.

I was at that, was odd being in Cleethorpes in January, and was crazy in that away end when Yorkes winner went in, plus a lot of Grimsby fans invaded the pitch at full time to try and attack us, interesting day!

Was too young to remember the Altrincham game, but definitely remember them losing to Kidderminster (at home I think).

September 1991 I think because it was the first game we played after I went to uni. Our goal was Shaun Teale's first for us.

Yes, it was on my 21st birthday, and one of my housemates was a Grimsby supporter. Thanks lads, nice one.

As I recall, we drew the first leg nil-nil. After a one-all home draw had seemingly knocked us out on away goals, people began to file out. Then, the bloke on the tannoy announced "please return to your places, the away goals rule doesn't count until after extra time". There was a collective groan at having to watch another half hour of the shite. And it really was shite.
