Their penalties were good.

So are we out?

Yes. Finish third in the table.

I thought this was described as a better AV team than before.

We are playing better then some of the performances in the last season and the season before, just self destructive. Tonight it was our player deciding to Dion Dublin it right in front of the ref and us deciding to not play our first choice keeper. Other times it is just not taking one of our 30 chances.

The balance of power has definitely shifted this week.

No, we are second at worst. We would still finish top if Bristol City beat Tottenham in 90 minutes.

Only group winners progress.

Do they normally have coppers at a women's match? Anyway the ref let a lot go and it's mildly pissed me off.

BBC had us third on 4 points and Blues second on 5 when I looked. They now have changed it.

BBC quite often seem to fuck up the tables for this and Scottish (Men's) League Cup which has the same points system.

You get:

3 points for a win
2 points for a win on penalties
1 point for a defeat on penalties

Villa and Tottenham are on five points, we are above them on goals scored (and will finish above them on goal difference if they lose in normal time).

If they even manage to take it to penalties, they're through and we are out.

Tottenham won, so we are out, and the Small Heath result didn't actually make any difference.

Down to 10. Still 0-0 but have been poor for most of the match after a bright start.

1-0 Villa gals. Sicne the sending off (and also taking out their tricky winger) we have been the better side.
