Released on Wednesday 18th at 9am.  Seems quicker every year!

Who’s it to be?

Home, for once, surely?  Leeds United.

Isn't it an unwritten rule that we'll be away to a promoted club? Or at least a long away trek. Sunderland away would meet both criteria.

Hasn’t it been more of an actual written rule recently? By request?  Or have I made that up?

We will be away on the opening weekend and probably lose. We will be away on Boxing Day and on the final day and definitely lose.

We have asked to play away on the opening day at least once I think to allow more time for work at Villa Park yo be completed. We were supposed to play away at Man City in 2020 as well but they hadn't had a long enough close season so ur first game was slightly later at home to Sheffield United.

Man City will probably be away for the first two games due to their new stand being built.

I’m positive that the rules for the fixtures state that clubs who are away on the first game are at home on the last, unless requested otherwise by the club.
