They bought their big guns on in the 2bd half and we definitely tired.

Some good individual performances, but overall a bit disjointed - passes going astray, players losing challenges/tackles (very reminiscent of the first team).

Rory Wilson made plenty of runs but got very little service. Borland kept things ticking over in midfield - always available and constantly  organising players around him.

I sat in the main stand and the home fans I was chatting to said that we were one of the better U21s they'd seen- and that included the likes of Spuds and Palace.

Attendance: 1959
Away fans: 149 in the away section, plus 1 elsewhere.

Markie Meade scores for the under-18s v Newcastle. Highly rated, this fella. McGrath also playing - one of our own. There’s a Ramsey on the bench, presumably Cole?

Edit: Cole it is. On after 12 minutes due to injury.

One of our lads having a bit of a paddy over taking a free-kick… and rightly so:

Wow! Won 7-1. Hat-trick for Meade, 2 for McGrath. Hopefully his dad posts clips on Facebook later if there are any.

He also assisted the first goal as well.

Under 21s drew 3-3 with Sunderland. We were 3-1 up and our keeper saved 2 pens.

Wilson, Kone, Burrowes for us.
