I would say the money plays a big part in it, too.

League Cup £0.18m
FA Cup £3.9m
Conference League £15m
Europa League £26m

I'm not sure it does, myself. Look at the amount you can earn from the Club World Cup and that currently has very little prestige.

I think what the competition qualifies you for, Champions League for Europa League, for instance, makes it much more important to the club financially, but I can still see why a fan would think the FA Cup is 'bigger' than the Europa League. It's been fucking hard for us to win. If we were in the Europa League every year for the next 5 years, I'd back us in that competition much more than I would the FA Cup. It all depends if financial importance is the main qualifier for 'bigger'.

May be looked down in, but I'd love Villa to be in the Club World Cup.

We've only played one non-European side in a competitive match. Would be ace to play a load more teams around the world.

However, it would likely knacker us out too, like Chelsea this season.

I don't think Chelsea totally knackered themselves out particularly, just appointed crap managers and the key players there had a crap attitude. Although they arguably do have a bigger squad then we do so it would screw us over with our current personel. I would still like to be in it though as it either means we have won the CL, or are one of the two best English sides in Europe over the next few years.

Edit: Based on the previous hosts, it should be held in Morroco/Spain/Portugal which, althoughh will mean high temps will mean kick-offs in the cooler evenings for most of it, unlike 3pm in Mexico City. However FIFA haven't announced the new hosts yet.

I don't think I've ever seen this before:

Four. Fenerbahçe, Peñarol, Trabzonspor and Maccabi Tel Aviv.

RoI in front in a friendly against Qatar.
Didn't realise Julen Lopetegui was Qatar's manager now.

Europa League is clearly bigger than the FA Cup as the winners qualify for the Champions League rather than the Europa League.

Conference League is clearly bigger than the League Cup as the winners qualify for the Europa League rather than the Conference League.

It’s a subjective list
Obviously everybody has their own view no rights and wrongs

Cheers, just flicked over. Forgot it was on, as our lefties haven't been whining about us playing Qatar.

You haven't really missed much. Let's just say you can see it's two teams ranked 50 odd by FIFA.

Isn't that most international friendlies? (Particularly end of season ones when Ireland are playing)

The Qatar away kit is decent. The Irish home kit is dreadful, they always seem to pick a terrible shade of green. Northern Ireland's kits are usually much better than ours.

Moylan sent off for Ireland.  Straight red.
Maybe a bit harsh looking at the replay.

Harsh enough, not sure it warranted a red, even if it was a 'bad' yellow.
