From what I saw of it Palace were well on top. Even so, Rayo Vallecano gave them more of a game than Freiburg gave us.

We really need PSG to beat Arsenal now as UEFA will be doing their damnedest to make it more difficult for English clubs next season. English dominance in all Europe competitions will not be seen as a good thing.

It isn't a good thing is it?

No it isn’t, unless it’s us that’s dominant of course.

I wouldn't state that at all. Rayo did nothing in the final third and their only shot on target was one straight at the keeper from 30 yards out. Freiburg had the chance in the box that trickled wide, the cross no one was gambling to get on the end of and a couple of other half chances before we scored. The only "more of a game" came from Rayo somehow only being 1-0 down with 10 mins to go so they could still be in with a chance although they never looked like scoring.

I would also quite like Arsenal to beat PSG

Jesus fucking Christ.

Moderators, please?

Yeah that is completely unacceptable.
But why? I really don't get this mad hatred for Arsenal. If any of the teams/ money-laundering exercises that Sky have wanked over for 35 years have to win stuff instead of us, they would be my least worst choice.

Agree with Som. Watched whole match and Rayo were playing like 25 years ago - long shots half a half chance type stuff. Not a way to beat Henderson.

Palace were superior throughout but especially 2nd half.

The fewer English clubs that have a European Cup in their trophy cabinet, the better. The "English winners" of that trophy is a relatively small club, that we're part of, and I'd prefer it to stay that way.

I agree! But the hatred towards Arsenal seems a bit OTT. It's not just about them winning or losing to PSG.

I don’t want Arsenal to win, but I’m far less bothered about them than other clubs around us.

Mainly Arteta for me snd what Smithy said.
They’ve always been the London side I disliked the least until fairly recently. But mainly I want the exclusive European cup winners to remain as small as possible, I was gutted when man city and chelsea won it

Surely even if you're not bothered about Arsenal winning it, surely just from Villa perspective we'd all rather a game against PSG than yet another game against Arsenal?

They had Piers Morgan (and his Son) on the pitch last Sunday, I mean what more do you need?

I just generally cheer for any opposition against English clubs if Villa are not involved. Any win in Europe is more money for our rivals now. I might change that rule if it directly benefits us but I was against any winning even with 5th qualification still being up in the air back at the start of the year, with it being a silver lining if they did win.
