The advantage didn't really turn out to be an advantage, hadn't realised it was head to head not goal difference so no way they can catch Como even if they win 15-0.

Real Zaragoza relegated to the third tier of Spanish football.

At least their manager has stabilised them.

Well, no. Quite clearly he hasn't, has he? Steve Bruce did stabilise Villa. Because, you know, finishing in the top six of a division is not the same as getting relegated from it.

Finishing a season in the second division without being promoted as Aston Villa manager is worse than being relegated with Real Zaragoza.

Nah. He inherited a rubbish team that had just finished with seventeen points and had a toxic dressing room, and stabilised them.

He calcified them. It’s a subtle difference, but it matters.

Next season's alphabetised table is going to be nuts.

No Ws. Spurs bottom by name. Sunderland the only S.

Nottingham Forest will be in the bottom three in the zero games played table. Ridiculous stuff.

Genuinely thought Forest had turned the corner so it will come as a shock to their fans that they're already in full fighting-for-their-lives-crisis-club mode.

It's been foremost in my thoughts today.

Palace's end of season ruined again by Selhurst being turned over the Arsenal to celebrate.

Quite funny to see them flashing South London and Proud above the Arsenal supporters as they sing North London Forever.

To compound it all I’ve just seen on MOTD which showed the celebrations them all singing along to that anthem dirge played over the Selhurst tannoy. Now that’s unfathomable.

I’ve really made my mind up now.  David Moyes is a complete wanker.
