I’ve had a great ‘football is NOT shit’ run to finish off the season with Villa & Celtic.

An incredibly romantic tale as plucky wee not at all glory-hunting twats Celtic see off the might of global megaclub Dunfermline. Hope your other teams Juventus and Real Madrid win this week! Mon the cuddly underdogs!

Sunderland and Leeds stayed up because they were bigger clubs with more spending power. The biggest since we went up.

Ipswich will have greater spending capacity than Coventry. Doug King will budget to do down like Burnley.

I’m just dreading the inevitable early season away day at the CBS whilst they still have spirit (and hatred of us)
Ipswich have also got McKenna, who is a decent manager. I think they have a chance of staying up.

Another hat-trick for Harry Kane to win the German Cup, 61 goals in 51 games for Bayern this season.

Now up to seventh in their all-time top scorers list after three seasons.

Not too shabby.

I wish you’d stop lying about why I like them. And at the same time, because I took the trouble to explain it to you, calling me a liar as well.

I'm not calling you a liar, I'm calling you a glory-hunter. Because that's what someone who comes from Birmingham and chooses to support Man U/Liverpool/Celtic/Rangers is.

I agree with 95% of your posts so optimistic you can change your ways and stop being a glory-hunter.

I think there’s a strong argument for Celtic being the establishment club in Scotland now: the most televised, by far the richest, 14 of last 15 titles etc etc.

If I squint I can just about understand why politics means that somebody might celebrate a Celtic title win over Hearts.

Celebrating Celtic winning a cup over Dunfermline feels preposterous.

An underappreciated banter pair of results for today, Nottingham Forest 0-5 Bournemouth and Liverpool 0-1 Brentford.

Would leave Bournemouth and Liverpool on the same points, 59. Same goal-difference, +9. Same goals scored, 62.

Then it goes to head-to-head record for the season, one win each. It then (for some reason) goes to away goals scored in those two matches, two each.

So we'd get a real-life 39th game, playing each other for fifth place and Champions League qualification.

Liverpool won the home game 4-2 and Bournemouth only won 3-2 at home. So, Liverpool win on head to head. No playoff.
