Still, I'd have taken Tottenham having a realistic chance of relegation, with one to play, at the start of the season.

My main issue with Arsenal - apart from their manager, playing style and media bias - is how their plastic supporters, in my experience, have thought that because they don't win the league year after year after year that somehow makes them real football supporters.

'Woah is us, 22 years without a title. But we've been there through the hard times. Loyal supporters are we.' Similar to Liverpool fans, particularly pre-2005.

'We don't dominate, like Man Utd, or Chelsea (briefly), or Man City. So we can't possibly be glory hunters, because others have had more glory'. As if that's a defence. The fucking hypocrisy.

Only a plastic could ever think that way.

You still grew up in Perry Common, not Islington, you utter ******!

Great stuff, but the last line felt targeted specifically at me, and I hate the ******.

Think my main issue with the is that Arteta is the biggest moaning whingebag in the League and he's built a team in his own image.

I'm sure George Graham would like a word.

It feels like they're downplaying his net spend on transfers of £800m a little in that statement. I reckon most managers could do a decent job with 7 seasons and £100m+ on new players every summer. That's he's done it by turning them into cheating cynical twats playing some of the worst football in the league sums the guy up perfectly, whiny horrible team playing for a twat who throws toddler tantrums anytime anything goes against him and learnt everything he knows about man management in a fucking seminar. I just hope PSG smash the shit out of them.

Why have Middlesbrough been given a pass to the play off final having lost the semi but Millwall haven't?

Beacuse they were they were directly victims of said spying, I guess. And Millwall are ******.

I'm with Lovejoy, I think they've rushed through the judgement but left a lot of potential problems to deal with later.

Will Millwall appeal that they deserved the final spot as much as Middlesborough?
Will Wrexham appeal that if Southampton have been removed from the playoffs that they should have replaced them?
Southampton have already appealed and as much as I like the idea of "fuck 'em they cheated" I'm not sure they will let it go even if the appeal today fails given this is a £100m+ game.

I think this whjole thing will rumbel on until right up to the start of next season, regardless of what happens next.

And the talk of the Southampton players suing their own club, it's a right old mess and no mistake.

Oxford were directly the victims of spying so presumably by your logic they should be unrelegated at the expense of the next club above the dotted line who are…checks notes….. West Brom.

Absolutely, the whole thing is a mess and Southampton do deserve to be punished heavily for it, but I'm not sure they've gone about things the right way here. a bigger points deduction next season (10-12 points would be my target), with an agreement with the premier league that it will apply regardless of where they end up playing and a sizable fine might have made things simpler for everyone.

It needs to be a punishment applied this season. If it's a points deduction next season then Saints, who would be a good shout for going down anyway, can do the bare minimum squad wise while banking a shit load of cash to then dominate theChampionship the following season so they've still benefited from cheating.
