By the reasoning of the officials at this match, we've been cheated out of about half a dozen penalties over the last couple of seasons.

They would argue that none of ours were given so weren’t overturned. This one was given. I actually agree with that principle. But that’s because I want VAR gone. I can live with shit on field decisions.

The shit decisions were part of football conversation. I don’t need the sport to be forensic. I want back the pure joy and emotion of a goal. Even if there is controversy some around it. And yes it goes both ways. But the quality of on field officiating is the worst it’s ever been because mentally those refs are subservient to VAR. If rather the football authorities reinvested in refs and assistants being better and only calling on VAR if they wanted to use it via a monitor. Not some ****** in their ear stopping the game for 5 minutes to review someone’s bollock being a fraction too wide.

Palace are awful and not trying at all. They haven't tested the opposition keeper once. The penalty decision was a joke.

Why can’t we have scouts like Bournemouth? Rayan and Croupier look very good.

They just took a gamble.

Two handed push in the back and "there isn't enough force to be penalised". Yet there was enough force there? The thing is once the ref had made his decision, that tiny little contact made by Henderson's leg on the heel of the diving twat was enough to mean there wasn't any "Clear and Obvious" error as there was contact.

There was no force. The Bournemouth player received the slightest of touches, then dived.

Crystal bloody Palace. All the bloody harm they try and do us. Ungrateful bastards.

Quote
Edmund Goodman (8 October 1873 – 1960) was an English football manager. He had his playing career at Aston Villa cut short by an injury, sustained playing for the reserves, which meant he had to have his leg amputated. After this, he became assistant secretary at Villa. When Crystal Palace F.C. were formed as a professional outfit in 1905, they asked Villa for help in setting up the club. The West Midlands club offered Goodman to Palace and he helped to appoint their first manager and also chairman.

It's one of the many reasons why I oppose VAR. It's bad enough one ref making a mistake, but 3 with the aid of technology is utterly infuriating.

No matter how well you do your homework, it's always a bit of a gamble.

I don't think we're getting third place back.

Prefer Manure win today, we’ve a better chance of finishing above Liverpool, especially with them still to come to Villa Park.
