Fucking Palace pissing it into another cup final. Fuck sakes. They might win three shiny things in the past 2 years before we get one in 30+.

Annoying how easy that competition is this season. You get tuppence for winning it but who cares?

Was just reading ANOTHER article that referenced how the quality of the entire Premier League explains how shit English teams have been in the Champions League this year. Erm, no. There is some truth in it, but it's mainly because Atleti are better than Tottenham, PSG are better than Liverpool and Chelsea, Barcelona are better than Newcastle, Real Madrid are better than Man City (only one that's even close) and one of PSG/Bayern are definitely better than Arsenal. Weird copium narrative spreading far and wide.

I imagine the article was indicating because the other teams are SO strong, the top teams are having to play all out every week and getting more tired, where PSG just need to turn up to win? Because I can't see any other reason a strong PL league means they are shit in the CL.

TBF it was "easy" the season we played in it. However we were also battling for CL at the time and our style of play for that season was tiring out the players by the end. Palace don't have that although I'm impressed that they have done well after the sale of several of their better players. They do seem to have a second wind in them as well usually playing better towards the end of the season.

We alternate. One season we have the 2nd wind, the following year we limp home. I’m looking forward to 12 months’ time when we win 10 in a row to surge through the pack.

Burnley score.

After another very questionable VAR decision to rule one out for them just before.

I am not entirely convinced by the argument, but there is at least some truth in it.

Villa, Europa League favourites and CL contenders losing at doomed and dismal Wolves at a crucial time in the season is an example. There are no easy games now in the PL, and this has changed in recent years.

Also, it is widely acknowledged that the EPL is very physical and players from other countries take time to adapt.

Leeds were wary of the 'new manager bounce' but just beat it, as no one likes to be defeated.

Have you got shares in VAR  ;)  Looked like his hand was given as offside?
