Just looked at the BBC report. Bit of a verbal salad IMO.

Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior, speaking to Match of the Day:
"Nowhere near the levels, not even tactical, tackles, duels, intensity, spirit, energy, passion all lacking and that is the reason we lost."

Why did this happen?
"I have my own ideas, I am not here to make excuses. that was unacceptable from everyone involved with me at the head of it. That needs to change.

"It is accountability. I have defended the players at times when it was the correct thing but I can't defend that performance. It doesn't represent this football club, it doesn't represent anything I ask from the group and that has to change.

"I feel numb I'm so angry. I always speak on what I see and that was unacceptable. The goals we conceded were unacceptable and that is something I have to hold my hands up to.

"I will look at the team, will look at individuals and I will look at a team I can trust to do the basics of football and we should not be talking about the basics of football at this level. It is something we have to adjust very quickly.

"Tonight was not [about] tactical. This was about desire, spirit, courage and I did not see enough of that tonight.

"Nowhere near good enough and we have to improve that."

Hadn't realised that Aaron Ramsey was at Leicester (on loan). Had a few chances to win them the game.

That's the former Villa player and brother of Jacob and Cole. Not the Welsh Celeb killer.

Liam Rosenior : "In English, 'Brighton', if you split the two words is 'bright' and 'on', so you need to be bright and switched on to beat Brighton. Today, we weren’t either.”

What sets Rosenior apart from other managers in the top half of the Premier League is the fact he is really 💩.

My instinct was to laugh and say "good one! As if he said that!"

But I actually don't know.

I actually feel a bit sorry for Rosenior.  He’s been totally out of his depth for weeks and it’s very clear the players aren’t turning up.  It’s worked out well for us so far (comedy defeat to them aside).  But I find the piss taking of him a bit uncomfortable for some reason.

Yea Im a bit there. Huddle at Villa Park aside, he’s an emerging decent championship level manager currently, who may have made it in the premier league in a few years, but has been massively over promoted too soon, by a bunch of arseholes. Plus his hugely egotistical players seemed to have downed tools on him.  Benefits us of course, but a bit of an uncomfortable slating of him.

It was partly about tactics - Birghton had space everywhere and the 'Wing' Backs don't play in thoise positions usually.

Without James they are clueless in terms of on field organisation and Fernadez, Neto and one or 2 others don't seem to give a shit.

Yeah, Rosenior seems a decent sort but their fans deserve all they get. They were booing Mason Mount the other week for some reason. Was it just because he'd joined Man Utd (in which case, fair enough I suppose).

Chelsea has turned into the footballing version of a cattle market/auction house.

Their trying to make a quick buck by exploiting the transfer market. The model doesn't work. You need some stability to build a team.

Players probably listen to their agent more than Rosenior. He doesn't stand a chance.

Chelsea chewed up and spat out Lampard who was one of their own.  Eventually, he realised that - just like when has at Derby - his route to managerial success was with a lower division club with potential.  Hopefully when the inevitable happens, Liam Rosenior will also see this.
