Vini Junior is a massive ****** whilst still a superb player.

Probably a result of having Spaniards making monkey noises/gestures at him every game.

These dagos should've learnt a lesson after the armada. When good old John Bull socks you what-for, you should remember it, you swarthy foreign sorts!

I think it's possible for someone to be both a constant victim of outrageous racist harrassment, AND a bit of a little prick in his own right.

I didn't know you were a constant victim of outrageous racist harrassment?! 😉

Not a day goes by here where I don't hear the abuse. 'Beans on toast', 'bo'ow o' wa'ah'. I AM A MAN!

I have always thought that VJ has a bit of the Raheem Sterling about him.

The Camavinga red was a very harsh call. The second yellow leading to a red normally needs to be at least an orange card. He didn't even get a "last warning". My suspicion is the ref for got he was on a yellow in the first place.

To make that call with the sides level with 5 minutes to go in a CL quarter final is very strange from the ref.

I think the timing of it is precisely WHY he got a yellow.  It was obvious time-wasting.  The home side were on top, a and chasing a winner to avoid extra-time, and he was trying to slow it all down by stopping them taking a quick free kick to maintain momentum. If he does that after 25 minutes, there is no yellow - whether that makes it right or wrong, I don't know, but I have no doubt the timing played a big part in the ref thinking it was yellow-worthy.

A soft 2nd yellow for sure. I’d be livid if I was a RM supporter. Fair play to the referee for applying the rules of the game. If it was a Premier game they’d be using some nonsense for not giving the booking.

The foul itself was risky on a yellow already, the following shithousery pushed it over the threshold.

Although I do think the ref had forgotten the first yellow and wouldn't have done it had he realised.

On Irish TV, Stephen Kelly put it down to a couple of things
- Just before, the ref had foregone giving Militao a second yellow.
- the Bayern player trotting after Camavinga to draw the ref's attention, and make it seem more dramatic than it was.
