The goal that Sunderland scored against them too is the sort of thing that makes you feel doomed.

I fear for West Ham against the ones that only bother to turn up against us or a team we want them to get beaten by.

To an extent...Gallagher showing the guy inside towards goal to have an uncontested shot, Van der Ven I think it was not brave enough with the block....brutal defending.

Gallagher, turning down CL football for the championship.

It’s a stomach churning, buttock clenching weekend for Spurs coming up.
Leeds home to Wolfs
Forest home to Burnley
West Ham away at Palace

C’MON LEEDS, FOREST AND WEST HAM !!!!!!!!!

Was taking about this wioth our kid yesterday and I just think they're gone, everyone they're up against has got something about them and they're used to being in this position, support included. This Spurs team are the distillation of every cliche I've ever had about Spurs being over rated fancy dans.
This is completely true, they are just not used to being down there. Up until about 2 or 3 weeks ago it was still like everything was just going to be ok, and then its only just dawned on them that they are seriously in the shit. Nuno will get West Ham out of this, Forest will scrap their way out, which just leaves Leeds and you’d fancy Calvert Lewin to get one or two important goals in the run in.

And they have lost their captain for the rest of the season.
It just gets better and better.

I keep forgetting Connor Gallagher chose to join them. I bet he and they wish they could too.

You look at their fixture list, and every game they have left is against a team who are going to have a reason to be giving everything they have to beat them, or at least not lose to them.

As it stands only Burnley and Wolves have nothing but pride to play for. Everyone else is either in with a sniff of Europe or danger of dropping.

I felt a certain shadenfreude when I read that just now: he and Pahlinha both hand it out and risk being knacked themselves.

Sky commentator just mentioned that a United win tonight would create a buffer between them and (wait for it) Chelsea. Has he looked at the table recently?

Chelsea are the team one place outside the Champions League places, that's why. It doesn't really matter if Man U finish above Villa and/or Liverpool so long as they finish top five.

He has been on the "winning" side once and that was a nine minute appearance in the second leg of the CL match when they were only playing for pride and were given a 90+min penalty.
