It was one of the best and bravest refereeing performances I’ve seen in years.

He’ll be demoted to the championship

Bloody hell, they really are now making a meal of those two penalty decisions.
So are the BBC. A whole page dedicated to it obviously.

For the sake of balance though they did point out that Jamie Redknapp, who called both decisions correct is ex-Liverpool.

Forgot the League Cup Final was on this weekend. I couldn't give a fuck who wins but that's still more of a fuck than either set of fans gives about it.

Yeah, there are two really interesting games on Sunday that I will miss because of Villa, but would likely get home on time to watch that shite. Great. Hopefully Villa show the end of the North East derby in the Holte End before our game and I can get a signal for once to keep up with the other game. Mon Forest.

In all the outrage, I see no mention of Maguire's two handed push in the back of the Bournemouth player in the penalty area in the first half.
That was my take. More blatant than either of the others up for debate.

This is why referees are terrified to give decisions against these twats. Blatant dive for a penalty and match-changing red card in their favour and nobody gives a shit. They get slightly upset because they didn't manage to get a penalty they wanted and it knocks World War Three off the front pages for the next week.

It is so much easier just to give in to them, so referees, mostly, do.
