They can agree not to if it's a hammering, same as us at home vs Ajax

It's a ridiculous rule. Play the required minutes, it's not baseball with a silly mercy rule.

If both teams agree, I don't see it being an issue, especially as a consolation goal means nothing in a knock-out competition compared to a league one.

Shows how much the Premier League is the most overhyped league in the world. We are still 4th despite being crap almost all season, even when we kept winning  we were crap most of the time scraping 1 goal wins. And Chelsea and Man City spend a billion plus and cheat financially  and they still can't compete with Europe's elite. Football has become one great shit show.

I think that’s an unfair characterisation of our form post the first five games and ante losing the entire midfield in short order in January. Teams thought they were doing well against us, scoring a goal, chasing us down, but then they got tired. Bang bang, all of a sudden they’re behind and out of ideas. For all that we’ve been shit for two months it’s unfair to say we’ve blagged our league position, and I say that as an unrelenting pessimist.

..the best teams on the continent have really left us behind atm, and are so good to watch. This seasons Premier League is one of the worst for ages, some bang average stuff has been served up.

It means more fun. So, of course, they have invented a rule to stop it.

Eddie Howe had two strikers who cost about  £100M sitting on the bench tonight, options if needed.

Watching the game(s) on TNT, how do you get rid of all the scribble in the top right hand corner of the screen?

Can't decide what to watch. Spurs to hopefully get another kicking or Liverpool too hopefully fire blanks all night?

Use a strong yet mild scourer and rub hard.

The commentary being slightly ahead of the game is awful.  Still haven't fixed it after the Ashes debacle.

I stuck a bit of masking tape over it. Job done

If they go through they've got PSG next, so probably out then.
