It never has been really. All managers have used radios/mobiles to keep in touch with the bench in those cases.

Citeh allowing Arsenal to walk the title. Plus point is they won't be playing for anything second from last match of the season, not that it will probably matter.

I am prepared to concede the title to Arsenal... sadly.

After 25 years of Wenger they’ve had to spend a billion quid to win the title like George Graham’s side.

The likes of Steve Bould and Andy Linighan don't come cheap nowadays.

Anders Limpar was a lovely player though. And Merson. And Wright. The rest can hang.

Edit: Rocastle!

And Bergkamp! Irrespective of team, probably the player I most enjoyed watching ever.

Yeah but that goal against Newcastle though...

Bergkamp is easily my favourite non-villa player ever, exceptional player.

The eulogy over Arsenal is vomit-inducing, even if deserved.

Arsenal winning like they are isn't their fault - the problem, as we've been on the wrong end of a few times, is with the rules.

Don’t worry about it, tomorrow we get the ‘Bruno this’ and ‘Bruno that’ show to contend with!

I honestly don't know whether to be pissed off because we could have top four guaranteed by now or relieved we're still in with a shout.

And isn't that just the way it is right now, with a squad which can compete with the best as long as we have a fully-fit cohort to select from. We're hidebound by our finances.

I think this weeks european results said a lot - the league is weak this year.  I think hence why we went on a great run.  Teams like everton and brentford doing so well is because being well coached and organised is enough to get you results.

Hopefully we get CL but I think that this will be seen as a low tide mark for the league.  Thats crazy given the money spent - but I think the enforced protection for the richest clubs is causing issues.
