Turned on to watch end of PSG v Chelsea to see two goals and the tie to bed most likely. You're welcome.

Did they do their fucking Centre Circle huddle  this time the pretentious twats   ?

Great article from Johnathan Liew on why Sours need to go down. Agree with every word.

Away from corporate shithousing there are similarities with us 10 years(!) ago too, although we'd been at it for longer. They need a refresh, and it will be really funny. Mainly the funny thing, but a proper gutting from the board room down will do them some good.

Our mate Lange is basically the Antichrist to them. Always thought he did okay here, but there you are. Never leave the Villa.

No team deserves to feel untouchable and that's exactly why I'm hoping it happens. That lot have felt cosey and safe for decades, forgetting what it's like to have relegation as a genuine threat hanging over you the start of every other season.

They've had/been given every opportunity to improve their situation the past 2 years and done nothing. Fuck em.

The chances of them going down are still very slim - not because they're not dreadful (they demonstrably are), I'm just not sure they're quite as dreadful as the two teams who would BOTH have to go above them.

If they do, it's not going to take them 3 years to get back up, as it did for us, unfortunately.

Not sure about that.

I read somewhere the Spurs players have a relegation clause stipulating a 50% wage cut.

The rats will be jumping overboard.

Didn't Levy say relegation clauses were imperative in contracts regardless of how big/good you are? A wise man, Daniel. Cut him loose and things go to shit.

I'd be surprised if there's many PL contracts that don't include relegation clauses even at ManC etc.

Form would suggest otherwise.

Leeds: 9 points from previous 9 games.
West Ham: 14 points from previous 9 games.
Forest: 10 points from previous 9 games.

Tottenham: 2 points from previous 9 games.

I'm not sure there's any reason to think that Spurs won't go down other than the vague "but it's Spurs, so obviously they won't *actually* go down" feeling that probably applied to us, Newcastle, Leeds etc.

It looks like Tudor would take them down if he stays, and the short-term options look similarly bleak if (when) Tudor is booted out.

As others have said, a lot will hang on that Forest game. And if it were happening right now I reckon Forest would be more up for that fight than Spurs would.

I still can't see it. I am also fairly certain we fuck it up by losing to them.

Spurs have won 2 league games since October. Won 4 home league games since Xmas 2024. They are deep in the shit.

They'll be fine.

Anyway, I'm probably missing something obvious, but why are there two half five kick-offs on Saturday and no lunchtime games?

On recent and medium term form Spurs are doomed to relegation. I think all right minded people are praying it happens.

Rubbernecking at Spurs fans' talk - apparently one of their players has been pretty open with the rest of the squad about how he's fine with Spurs going down, as it'll make it easier to get a move elsewhere in the summer.

Just the sort of esprit de corps that you want at the moment.

That’s the spirit!

Not just a rat leaving a potential sinking ship but sizing up all the exit routes in the event.
