I'm trying to get straight in my head the possibility of Spurs going down but winning the Champions League. It won't happen but as it stands it is still a potential outcome this season.

In theory, 2 teams could be in the Championship and the Champions League next year. It would take an almighty effort by Wolves or Burnley and need Forest to win the Europa. But it’s possible.

Ronay can be hit and miss, but this is definitely a hit. The Grauniad have all the best writers.

I think Barney is great.  In every article will be an obscure, over the top analogy that captures a situation perfectly.

Spurs being relegated would be a fantastic outcome for all of us sick of the decades of undeserved adulation they have received on the strength of nothing more than  being a London club.  Having said that, they'd absolutely have the best stadium in the Football League.
p

I prefer Barnet, up the road. Much better atmos.

I simultaneously want Spurs gone, but also for them to beat Liverpool and Chelsea. Is that too much to ask?

I bet Connor Gallagher is feeling pretty good about the choices he made last month.

Don't think he gives a fuck on 200k a week. Wonder if there's a relegation clause in his contract... Apparently it was something Levy insisted on, but who knows this year.

This schadenfreude is all very enjoyable, but if we keep playing the way we are it could easily be us next year.

Schadenfreude is the main reason to follow all non-Villa football, surely?

I enjoy the play-offs, in all English divisions, but I'd never choose to watch a PL match unless there was the chance of something funny happening: Arsenal bottling the title, Tottenham being relegated, anything remotely bad happening to Man Utd.

The PL/CL is totally boring to me unless I can laugh at someone.

Football is the only time I feel like a petty, pathetic man. I shouldn't want Citeh to win the league, morally they are objectionable, they are state owned... but I absolutely want them to win over Arsenal. I don't want their fans to be happy and Citeh's wins don't really count in my head. Imagine how happy Arsenal fans will be if they win the league AND Spurs get relegated? Sickening. I obviously still want Spurs relegated, like.

I’m in the same boat.

Yeah, it's cruel, but us first. They can lose every other game 6-0. Saying that, they don't stand a chance.
