So what is the September break for?

And who has been consulted?

International games. Why would they need to consult? Everybody knows there are international games. Unless the number has been dramatically increased, I'm not sure what the issue is.

Did they need to consult anyone? It is a worldwide international break, the same one we are having the end of this month which happens to fall over Easter weekend in 2027. I'm guessing the Fail is moaning about losing the Christian value of teams playing on Good Friday and again on Easter Monday just as it was written in the bible.

I will let you click on the link to find out about September.

They did consult, twenty years ago. No major changes since so, again, not sure what the issue is.

Looks like Sept/Oct windows have been combined rather then have two weeks of games and then matches again looking at the next few years compared to 2025.

Oh okay, seems sensible enough then. Makes it a bit easier for club fans who don't care about internationals to book holidays.

Probably a good thing, the autumn international breaks really upset the rhythm of league games. A bit sad that we've lost a potential Villa Park game around that time though - Aston looks most beautiful when the leaves begin to fall.

The women will probably have (at least) a game there. Hopefully they'll be less shite by then.

D'Oh  Did not click it was for internationals - though it was something like a new FIFA competition like the World club cup malarky

Apologies

It has hasn’t it? Used to be just one weekend at start of September now seems to be two weeks towards the end!

The number of games hasn't increased, they're just merging two international breaks into one rather than having international break-short burst of league games-international break again.

It sounds like a good idea but a normal IB feels like a month so this one will feel like an eternity. I wouldn't mind if the games were on a Sat but they are scattered all over the bastard place.

So, just watching Dirty Leeds playing Blunderland. The ref has already waved on far more robust challenges than that which poleaxed Cunha. I'm still perplexed (aka shocked) - and at the same time, not surprised - by both the decision and the non-reaction to The Penalty on the West and dark side of the Pennines on Sunday.
