I did wonder if extra time might be too much when playing with 10 men. Still got time to come back though for pens.

I've just seen the foul Kelly got the second yellow for. Even though it was Juventus it was a ludicrous decision particularly as VAR sent the ref to the screen for a second look.

Is it the PL that still has the extra CL place as it stands?

TBF I can see why a yellow was given on the pitch. VAR got involved to show a possible red but at that point the yellow couldn't be overturned with the video review, however the full red wasn't deserved.

The PL have pretty much had it wrapped up for over a month, and Newcastle getting through pretty much sealed it. The only battle is on Germany or Spain for the other extra CL spot.

So it is now OK to cheer on any PL opposition.

Wout Faes (somehow playing in the Champions League) missing a header in the last minute. Shades of Konsa, but a far easier chance.
