I watched the second half against Inter as well as their win against City. They're the biggest advocate I've seen for the old 'kick and chase' coming back in style.
I’ve often thought someone is going to play a 4-4-2 one day with wingers bombing down the line not cutting back but lobbing the ball into the box to 2 lads up front, one a big unit good in the air and a bit menacing knocking it down to a smaller gifted player
Full backs who never go past the half way line but actually stay in their defensive position
no defensive mid but a chap who runs everywhere for 90 mins tackling everyone then giving it to a playmaker who sprays the ball around but doesn’t move out of the the centre circle
It’ll take everyone by surprise no one will be able to handle it and they’ll win win 4-0 every week and the manager will be hailed as a tactical genius
