I bet the Lincoln City fans are already licking their lips at the prosoect of a visit to London and a magnificent stadium. For them and a lot of other teams it'll be like a cup final.
Would be hilarious, woudn't it? Putting my tin foil hat on though, I bet Spurs (as one of the Sky 6) will be "saved" from relegation by some dubious decisions from the officials in the remaining games.

You heard it here first!

For those of you that watched it, was the Liverpool goal, that looked offside proven irrefutably that it was actually on side?

It was given as onside on the pitch so it would have had to be proven irrefutably it was offside. Computer from the Semi-Auto offside shows the front foot of the Palace player ahead of Van Djik but the still picture posted previously doesn't let you see him as he was standing behind the Liverpool player.

For me the biggest problem is this. There is no explanation as to how they came to the conclusion of which frame to use to draw their lines. The only image we ever see of the passing player is a blurry one from which it is impossible to judge accurately which freeze frame to use. I think I'm right in saying that in the Qatar world cup they had a system that froze the image at the exact moment the ball left the passing players foot. This led to the only 100% accurate and irrefutable proof we've ever had. What we have now is a "semi" automated system which basically gives someone at Stockley Park the responsibility of rolling a computer mouse forward and backwards to decide which frame HE THINKS they should use judging by a blurry image of a ball leaving the boot of the passing player. We have the wealthiest league on the planet so it should be a given that we have the best and most accurate system to judge offsides. If I was a cynic I'd say they stick with the current semi automated system because it provides leeway to come to the aid of the cartel clubs but I'm not a cynic and therefore I trust the Premier League to apply to rules rigourously and fairly to each and every club in the league.

Remove VAR and Liverpool won the match 2-0. I'm not really fussed if they used a frame 1/50th of a second difference in time. Whether you are using the accelerometer OR manual, the framerate is still 50fps so the frame being used for offside would still be just after the contact potentially if hit in between frames.

They showed the tiniest bit of the Forest players toe as evidence that Van Dyk was onside. Football is played at such a high tempo that it's impossible to get it that accurate. Either use the proper technology that was employed at the Qatar world cup and take out any doubt or go with the onfield decision. The whole "semi automated" nonsense is just that.

Carrick seems annoying decent. Other than his association to Manure can anybody tell me something about him to make me hate him?

Does he eat babies?

Everton are pretty hopeless at home so Manure will be 3 points behind us no doubt.

A bit like the ball.being proven irefutably to have gone out of play for our goal.against Brentford.  Oh, hang on.....
